Gaia Rock is a contemporary, light, airy villa set on the hillside, nearby Nissaki beach. The property faces south with magnificent views and only a few minute walk down to a pebble beach. In July and August, there is an estate jetty (secure mooring is available outside these times). A scenic, short walk along the scenic coastal path leads to Nissaki beach with a choice of good tavernas. For larger groups, the villa can be rented with Gaia Sea (subject to availability).
The interiors have been designed with great attention to detail. It mixes vintage and contemporary pieces and uses natural materials such as wood, stone and marble to great effect. The villa has four air-conditioned en suite double bedrooms, two of which can be made up as twins. One of these bedrooms is located in the adjacent guest cottage, with its own living and dining spaces, giving the option of more privacy for family groups.
The house opens onto a large terrace with an infinity pool. It overlooks the sea, has plenty of comfortable sun loungers and a large covered seated area with sofas, wicker chairs and occasional tables. At the edge of the terrace is a curved dining area with uninterrupted views out to sea and along the coast, complete with lanterns to enjoy long evening meals. A yoga deck set high above the garden, also facing the sea, is a wonderful spot to absorb the tranquillity and beauty of the location.
You’ll be spoiled with an abundance of picturesque bays, rugged coves, and charming tavernas to explore. Wander along the coastal path towards Nissaki, or hop on a short 15-minute boat ride to Agni, where some of the finest seaside restaurants await. Among them, Taverna Agni stands out, offering a highly recommended dining experience with a stunning beachfront location. The nearby beaches are ideal for swimming and snorkeling, providing clear waters and beautiful surroundings. For thrill-seekers, water sports are available at Gouvia and Barbati, or can be arranged right at your doorstep. Nature lovers and hikers can explore sections of the Corfu Trail, which meanders above Nissaki, or trek up Nissaki Hill for breathtaking panoramic views. A visit to Corfu Old Town is essential, boasting Venetian-style architecture and a range of excellent dining options. It’s a 40-minute drive, or a swift 15-minute journey by boat.
